Disney+ is not only a streaming service for the old childhood classics. It holds something for the whole family and that includes the horror fanatic. These four movies are suspenseful, nervewrecking and a great selection for movienight.
The Menu
An odd couple goes to an island to try out world-renowned chef Slowik's grandiose dinner spectacle. The man, Tyler, is a huge fan of Slowik's while the woman, Margot, is a little more hesitant about how great the food actually can be. More diners join the guest list to take part in the experience. Most of them are upper class in some way, either as famous movie stars or just simply by being filthy rich. The dinner begins with complicated dishes full of exotic ingredients, something you would expect from the expensive price tag. The evening goes on, with the dishes getting more intricate and difficult. But as it starts to get more grotesque the guests realize they might have bitten off more than they can chew with this dinner experience.
Signs
After Graham's wife dies in a car accident, he becomes very protective of the rest of his family, his daughter Bo and his son Morgan. They all live together on a little farm together with his brother Merrill. But when mysterious videos start appearing on the news and the farm seems to be getting regular nightly guests, Graham can’t believe it to be anything other than rational at first. But when his children get into real danger he knows he has to protect his family from the coming invasion.
Antlers
A smalltown teacherJulia, starts to notice signs of abuse on one of her students and becomes deeply concerned due to her own past and trauma. Lucas is a twelve year old boy who spends his days alone in class and after school goes to collect roadkill. At home he has his dad and younger brother locked in a room and it’s them he feeds the roadkill. What may seem like a cruel act is in fact self-inflicted by his dad Frank who locked himself in after being attacked by some sort of creature. He’s undergoing a horrible transformation and due to Julia's insistence on helping she will very soon find out what he transforms as.
The Boogeyman
A therapist who just lost his wife is struggling through the grief, as are his two daughters. When taking on a deranged client in his home office he realizes the manic man may be dangerous and goes to call the police. His eldest daughter, Sadie, finds the man dead, hanging behind the door of her mothers art closet. The trauma follows Sadie as well as other unexplainable things. When the younger daughter, Sawyer, also gets affected Sadie starts to investigate the paranormal happenings. She finds out they may be the next target of the boogeyman and has to find a way to stop the shapeshifting creature before it kills her whole family.
