Dante's Peak (1997)

Dante's Peak has just been pronounced the second best place in the world to live. Will this title be affected by the danger of the volcano which looms over it? Volcanologist Harry Dalton comes to the town to study the volcano, which he believes to be about to blow. His only ally is the town's mayor, Rachel Wando, whose family is one of those at risk.
