Time Team

Underneath a car park in central Manchester lie the remains of one of the most influential buildings in Britain, a building that transformed the once sleepy town into the cotton capital of the world. The team set to work uncovering Manchester's first cotton mill, built by one of the fathers of the Industrial Revolution, Richard Arkwright.
