The Sundowners (1960)

The story of an Irish family in the Australian outback of the 1920s. The father's liking for the life of a wanderer is at odds with his wife and son's yearning to put down roots. As the family supervise the transit of a thousand sheep across the continent, their hopes, fears, longings and conflicts are revealed.
