The Island (1980)

Thriller about a reporter who is investigating the story behind a series of disappearances in the Caribbean when he is captured by a lost tribe of pirates. The villains, who have been looting and pillaging in the region since the 18th century, need a new leader and seem to think one of their captives is a good prospect. Based on a novel by Peter Benchley.
