The Hurricane (1999)

Based on the true story of Rubin `Hurricane' Carter, a young black boxer whose life was blighted by racism and whose career was curtailed by being unjustly imprisoned for murder. In prison, he struggles to hold on to his pride and writes an autobiography. When an African-American boy and his friends read the book, they become convinced of his innocence and are motivated to battle a racist establishment.
