MasterChef Australia

The competitive cookery show goes Down Under. From hundreds of applicants, who audition by preparing a dish for the judges, 50 semifinalists are chosen. A series of elimination challenges to test their food knowledge and preparation skills whittles that number down to 20. Those 20 finalists face a series of individual and team challenges leading to weekly elimination rounds. The last chef standing wins the title of MasterChef, along with $100,000, the chance to study cooking with renowned chefs and the opportunity to publish a cookbook.
