Great Continental Railway Journeys

Michael Portillo concludes his epic rail journey across southern Norway, the Jutland Peninsula and the Danish archipelago. He crosses one of Europe's epic rail engineering projects: 18 kilometres of box girder bridge, tunnel and suspension bridge stretching between the islands of Funen and Zealand, known as the Great Belt Bridge. At the bottom of Roskilde Fjord, he alights in the city of Roskilde, once a Viking trading hub.
