From Kurdistan with Sorrow

Over the course of a single year, 40,000 people from Kurdistan attempted the journey to Europe to seek refuge. In November 2021, 27 of the 30 people onboard a boat trying to get to the UK from France died when the vessel sank. It was the worst migrant tragedy recorded in the English Channel. This programme pieces together what happened and hears from the families trying to make sense of their loss.
