Monica is annoyed when she discovers Chandler is ingratiating himself with his new boss Doug. He even has a fake laugh which he uses whenever Doug cracks a joke. Meanwhile, Rachel is obsessed with finding out the gossip between Monica and Chandler after overhearing a sexy conversation between them, and Ross astounds everyone with his new girlfriend, a blast from the past.
