When Janice asks whether any of the friends have ever dated one another the gang has a flashback to three years ago (one year before the pilot was supposed to have happened) when everyone's lives were beginning to come together. Phoebe moves out of Monica's apartment, Chandler searches for a new roommate - ending up with Joey, Monica bumps into Rachel, and Ross learns that Carol is a lesbian.
