Rolf Larsen is an investigator at Vestegnens Police and married to Maria. Just as Rolf can look forward to a few days alone with his daughter, work demands his attention: A little girl, Minna, has been kidnapped. After a tip from Poland, Rolf decides to leave and speak with a witness. An autumn storm is raging, and since Maria is in London and the nanny can't come, Rolf brings his daughter. Rolf's colleague, Jarl Skaubo, offers his help and together they reach the final ferry to Rostock.
