Amanda Owen left Huddersfield to pursue her lifelong dream to become a traditional dog-and-stick hill shepherdess. She now lives with her husband and eight children on a 2,000 acre hill farm in one of the most remote and exposed parts of the Yorkshire Dales, where she tends 1,000 native Swaledale sheep.
