Autumn Leaves (1956)

Millicent Wetherby is a middle-aged typist whose out-of-character decision to marry Burt Hanson whom she barely knows soon backfires when he starts becoming increasingly dangerous. When his wife Virginia and supposedly dead father turn up, she learns what may be the truth behind his behaviour, or are they telling the entire truth and are there deeper reasons for his strangeness?
