An Affair to Remember (1957)

Bachelor Nickie Ferrante chases elegant Terry McKay on a cruise ship. They are both engaged to other people, but can't resist the romance. When the ship docks, they arrange a meeting for six months' time at the top of the Empire State building. He makes it, but she doesn't.
