Where to watch England's Nations League matches on free TV

England are back in Nations League action after two contrasting results to open their 2026/27 campaign. Thomas Tuchel's side lost 3-2 to world champions Spain at Wembley, then bounced back four days later with a 2-0 win over 10-man Czechia in Prague.

That result leaves England second in Group A3 on three points, three behind runaway leaders Spain, who beat Croatia 4-1 in Seville to make it two wins from two. Croatia sit third on goal difference after their own win over Czechia, who remain bottom without a point.

Tuchel's attention now turns to a tricky trip to Croatia, followed swiftly by the return fixture against Czechia at Wembley, as the extended autumn window continues.

With the Premier League and the rest of Europe on international break, the Three Lions will hope to build on their win in Prague and keep their Nations League title bid on track, priced at 5/1 to win the competition, with the latest odds available across bookies and the best casino sites UK.

All four of England's remaining fixtures are live on free-to-air TV, with ITV holding the rights through 2028.

Here's everything you need to plan England's Nations League campaign on TV this autumn.

What is the Nations League?

The UEFA Nations League replaces low-stakes international friendlies with competitive fixtures.

Each team plays every other side in its group twice, home and away. Portugal are the most successful side in its history, winning it twice.

England compete in League A, the top tier, where the top two teams qualify for the quarter-finals.

Promotion and relegation apply across all leagues, and the final rounds take place next year, with quarter-finals in March and the semi-finals and final in June.

The Nations League also has implications for Euro 2028, giving strong performers who miss out through standard qualifying a second chance via the play-offs.

When is England's next Nations League game?

Croatia v England - Saturday, October 3

5:00pm kick-off - Stadion HNK Rijeka

League A, Group A3

The match is played behind closed doors, with UEFA sanctioning Croatia over crowd trouble at last season's Nations League quarter-final against France. Only around 100 members of the England Supporters Travel Club and invited local schoolchildren will be inside the stadium.

Four days later, England host Czechia at Wembley on Tuesday, October 6 (7:45pm kick-off), looking to complete a double over the group's bottom side and close the gap on Spain at the top.

What channel is Croatia v England on?

ITV1 and ITVX carry Croatia v England live from 4:15pm on Saturday, October 3, ahead of a 5pm kick-off. England v Czechia follows on ITV1 and ITVX from 7:45pm on Tuesday, October 6.

Eight days on from a first win of the campaign in Prague, Tuchel's side get a chance to put real daylight between themselves and the bottom half of Group A3.

Can I stream England's games for free?

Yes. ITVX carries both Croatia v England and England v Czechia live, so there's no need for a separate sports subscription to follow either game.

One thing worth knowing. ITVX's coverage is free to air, but a UK TV Licence still covers you watching it. Whether that's on a television or live through the app. The rule applies to any live programme, not just terrestrial broadcasts.

What should football fans expect from England?

Anthony Gordon has scored in each of England's last three competitive games, and Harry Kane's goal in Prague was his 87th for his country, taking him to nine England goals in 11 games in 2026.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, recalled for the trip to Prague, set up both goals against Czechia and is expected to keep his place for the games against Croatia and Czechia.

Tuchel is expected to continue giving minutes to squad players who missed out on the World Cup, with Jarrad Branthwaite and Rio Ngumoha among those pushing for involvement.

The plan looks to be building on the group that came together in America rather than starting again. Tuchel made that clear when discussing the bond his squad built over the summer.

"It created a huge bond to these players, it feels like they are my players now. This is the beauty of it," said Tuchel.

"When you have a manager and then you have success and you have painful moments together, but you have so much time together and then you create a natural bond."

Second screen and the wider viewing picture

England games on ITV tend to bring a second screen with them, whether that's checking live odds, following build-up on social media or tracking one of the top UK casino sites for in-play markets once kick-off arrives.

Spain's perfect start has already made them clear favourites for the group, and every point England drop against Croatia or Czechia now matters more with three games still to play.

With a behind-closed-doors trip to Rijeka followed by a home game against the group's bottom side, this is the window where England need to close the gap on Spain before the November double-header against Croatia and a trip to Spain to close out the group.

Tuchel's side kick off in Rijeka at 5pm on Saturday, October 3, live on ITV1 and ITVX, before hosting Czechia at Wembley three days later.
