Live-action dog movies for the whole family

Man's best friend has often been the subject for movie roles. Whether they talk or not they give an insight on how dogs may feel for their human counterpart. This list contains four funny, moving and exciting movies about our four-legged companions.
A Dog’s Purpose
Bailey is a dog who loves his owner Ethan. Ethan is just a boy when he gets Bailey and they do everything together, including growing up. After many happy years together Bailey passes away. He doesn't however go to doggy heaven or something like that. Instead he reincarnates as another dog and finds a new owner. But he hasn’t forgotten about Ethan. He keeps reincarnating as different dogs for a couple of years, loving his new families with Ethan at the back of his mind. After being abandoned by one such family, Bailey finds himself back home where he finds a now much older Ethan. He just has to prove he’s the same old Bailey and he’ll finally be able to complete his purpose.
101 Dalmatians
Newlyweds Anita and Roger become elated when they find out their two dalmatians are awaiting puppies. Though they get their hands full when the litter turns up as 15 puppies, they're still just as happy. Anita's old classmate Cruella De Ville visits the couple and falls in love with the puppies. But not because they’re cute, she wants their spotted fur to make clothes out of. Together with two henchmen Cruella steals the puppies as well as 84 other dalmatian puppies.
While Anita and Roger frantically search for them, the puppies try to get home on their own, with some help from a couple of new friends, and to stop Cruella.
Air Buddies
After his marvelous career in basketball, and many other ballsports, golden retriever Air Bud has become a dad to a litter of five together with Molly, another retriever. The five puppies share their dads love for sports while also brandishing their own personalities. After having caused a big mess one day while being watched by a sitter, the dog’s owner decides to give the puppies away. But while the owners are trying to find perfect matches for the puppies' personalities, Air Bud and Molly get kidnapped. The puppies then take it upon themselves to try to find and rescue their parents.
Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey
The two dogs Shadow and Chance and the cat Sassy are all owned by three siblings whose mother just got remarried. When the family has to temporarily relocate to the city because of the new husband's job the animals get left on a farm owned by a family friend. But through a misunderstanding the friend has to go away and the animals are left alone. Feeling abandoned, the three animals are unsure of what to do, but Shadow trusts his owner would never leave him on purpose and decides to find his own way home. The other two follow him into the wilderness where they’ll face the dangers of the wild and obstacles, all to find their family again.
