Jason Statham’s Five Best Action Movies

Today, we are bringing you a classic top-five list. If you love action movies, you are in for a treat. We are taking a look at Jason Statham’s five best action films.

Jason Statham is a pretty unique and unusual guy. He started his career as an athlete and competitive diver, representing England and competing internationally. After his sports career, he became an actor and got his big break in Guy Ritchie’s Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Since then, he has become almost synonymous with hard-hitting action. Today, we give you our five favorites.

The Beekeeper (2024)

Director David Ayer has become a frequent collaborator with the confident British action star. The Beekeeper is no exception. It is a fun, brutal and ridiculously entertaining action movie that is perfect when you just want to switch off your brain.

Adam Clay’s main mission is to protect the hive. What exactly that means will soon become clear to a small army of bad guys. The story begins with a group of scumbags who scam elderly people out of their money and their will to live. It ends with broken ribs and a whole lot of beating people up.

Crank (2006)

We quickly move on and, if possible, dive even deeper into the world of stupidity. In Crank, the violent fantasy becomes reality, and the entire movie is packed with testosterone.

Hitman Chev Chelios wakes up with a terrible headache. He has been poisoned with a “Beijing Cocktail”, and his heart will stop within an hour. Chelios has to do everything he can to keep his heart beating and his adrenaline levels high.

The Mechanic (2011)

In The Mechanic, Statham plays Arthur Bishop, a hitman who pretends to be a mechanic. Director Simon West, who also directed Con Air, delivers the kind of silly and entertaining action you would expect.

Bishop is a highly successful professional killer. Unfortunately, his mentor and close friend Harry is brutally murdered. Harry’s son becomes obsessed with getting revenge for his father. It is up to Bishop to train him.

Transporter (2002)

In Transporter, Statham plays a driver who transports extremely sensitive packages from point A to point B. This time, he gets into serious trouble when the package turns out to be something very different from what he expected.

Transporter is stylish and entertaining action at its most enjoyable. As usual, Statham gets everything right as a cool, tough and no-nonsense badass.

The Expendables (2010)

We finish the list with the big party for all the old-school action stars: The Expendables. Statham belongs to the movie’s younger, modern generation, alongside the legendary action heroes led by Sylvester Stallone.

The Expendables are a group of professional killers who take on various deadly contracts. This time, their mission is to eliminate a CIA agent who has become the dictator of a small country.
