Four Sci-Fi movies on Netflix

Science fiction movies often depict worlds similar to ours but where technology is extremely advanced. They can take place in space, the future or the past or anywhere dystopian. Here are four Sci-Fi movies currently on Netflix.
Idiocracy
The American government is trying to find a way for humans to hibernate for up to a year. Corporal Joe Bauers is selected to try out the cryo chamber and to go into hibernation for a whole year. But something goes wrong and Joe is forgotten in the chamber for half a millennium instead. He wakes up to a dystopian future where everyone is a complete idiot. Trying to navigate this new world he ends up arrested and he’s made to take an intelligence test in prison. From the test he realizes that he is now the smartest person on earth and so does the president, who wants to utilize Joes knowledge for his own gain. .
The Martian
After being stranded on Mars during a space mission, astronaut Mark Watney has to try to survive while waiting for rescue. Down on Earth however, Mark is presumed dead, so in order for rescue to come he also has to try to find a way to communicate back to them with the limited resources he has at his disposal. By growing his own food and trying to make water on the desolate planet, he’s determined to survive the four years it will take before rescue comes.
The Maze Runner
A group of teenage boys are stuck in a place they call The Glade, a patch of grassland in the middle of a big maze. They have had their memories erased and all they know is that the maze moves on its own and everyone who gets stuck inside it at night never comes back. Thomas is the newest arrival and is dumbfounded by the new reality he has found himself in. The circumstances are mysterious enough until one day when a girl arrives in the same state as them, with no memories. Trying to protect the girl, save the boys, and figure out the truth behind the maze and how they all got there, Thomas become a maze runner, one of those who travels the maze to try to make sense of it. And what he discovers will only give him more of a mystery.
The Terminator
Sarah Connor starts fearing for her life when several women sharing her name are getting killed by a mysterious killer. Little does she know however, is that the killer is in fact a robot assassin. A Terminator sent from the future to kill her. The robot is sent by Skynet, the evil AI who tries to exterminate humanity in the future. Sarah will give birth to a son who will become a big leader amongst the human rebels fighting Skynet and that is why she’s hunted. But the rebels send their own ally from the future, Kyle Reese, who is determined to save Sarah and destroy the Terminator.
