Jules Verne's Mysterious Island

Escaping from the American civil war by hot-air balloon, a ragtag bunch of runaways lands on an uncharted island in the Pacific. The island is home to carnivorous monsters, bloodthirsty pirates and the mad genius, Captain Nemo.
