The actions and motives of the conspiracy's chief architect are revealed in flashback. As the embassy is evacuated, Brody breaks free of his cuffs and helps Hana capture Fox and retrieve the detonator for the bomb on the jet. While a standoff with embassy security provides Fox with an opportunity to escape, Hana and Brody recover a vital piece of evidence that Fox stole from the Ambassador's office and escape to deliver it to Delaney.
