Nurses Jeroume and Onessa are the utterly devoted parents of nine-year-old Elijah. The wheelchair-bound only child suffers from myotubular myopathy, a rare genetic condition that weakens the muscles to such a degree that even breathing and swallowing are a constant challenge.
