O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000)

Three chain-gang convicts make a break for freedom when one of them finds out his wife is going to remarry. He convinces the other two to join him with a story of buried treasure. The trio travel across the Depression-hit south, meeting along the way sirens and a one-eyed Bible-salesman as well as blues singer Tommy Johnson, who helps them become unlikely recording stars before the journey's end.
