The Bidding Room

Nigel Havers welcomes five more sellers to the Bidding Room, where they try to sell items to professional dealers who are on the lookout for interesting pieces, with help from expert Simon Bower. First through the doors is auction enthusiast Ginny, with an item she hopes will go far. The 19th century French travel trunk was designed in response to burgeoning rail travel, and the lightweight design paved the way for many similar products.
