Series 2: : Water Crisis:South Sudan: Poisoned Floods

South Sudan is on the frontline of climate change. Extreme flooding has affected hundreds of thousands. Bentiu camp for displaced people is home to 35,000 people and has been surrounded by water for close to five years. Some of its residents have fled fighting, others escaped here after unprecedented floods began in 2019. At the worst point, two thirds of the state was under water.
