DS Ramani de Costa and DC Suzie Sim attempt to find out whether DC Terry Perkins' brother has been abusing his son. At St Hugh's Hospital, a woman pulls a knife on PC Yvonne Hemingway, PC Roger Valentine is gagged and handcuffed to a bed, and PC Honey Harman is left staring down the barrel of a gun. DI Neil Manson is still miffed about the arrival of Jo Masters, but DCI Meadows is prepared to give her the benefit of the doubt.
