When Jessica travels to Mexico City on a research trip, her arrival coincides with the theft of the National Museum's most prized artefact, the solid gold Death Mask of Montezuma. When Enrico Montejano, a corrupt local businessman suspected of the crime, is found murdered, Jessica offers to help the Mexican police find the culprit.
