Murder strikes close to home when a police forensics lab technician is stabbed to death in her home. While Sam and Ronnie pursue their prime suspect, another victim is attacked in what looks to be an identical crime. However, the second victim survives and is able to identify her assailant. Then, things get complicated when she and Sam fall for each other.
