It Happened One Night (1934)

A runaway heiress tries to escape from a band of private detectives hired by her father to bring her home. She encounters a drunken reporter on a bus who, on recognising her, plans to scoop the story for his newspaper - and claim the big reward on her head. However, this is not an easy task as the hapless, bickering couple argue their way across America.
