WesternGunslinger Cole Thornton rides into a small town to work for a cattle baron, but quits after learning that his would-be employer wants to drive a family off their land and obtain their water supply. Thornton leaves the situation unresolved, but a chance encounter takes him back to El Dorado, where he joins the sheriff in a range war.
