Battleplan

Outflanking has been one of the classic strategies ever since mankind first began to plan organised warfare and this episode looks at two of the classic examples: The first is the Allied breakout from the Normandy beachhead led by US armoured forces under General George Patton and the second is the classic left-hook mounted by Norman Schwarzkopf during the first Gulf War.
