Passport to Pimlico (1949)

An unexploded bomb leads to the discovery of a 15th-century charter that confers upon the people of Pimlico the status of Burgundians. They declare themselves independent of the United Kingdom, free from rationing, bureaucracy and bad weather. However, the British government soon cut supplies of water and electricity and close the border.
