His last act as a superhero has an unexpected side effect, when a bomb he hurls into space to save the Eiffel Tower accidentally releases the three villains trapped in the `Phantom Zone' in the first `Superman' movie. The super criminals set about conquering the Earth, while Clark sits helpless.
