Ashes to Ashes

DI Alex Drake wakes to find herself back in a hospital bed in 1983, having been shot by Gene Hunt three months ago. Back in CID, Ray has been promoted to DI, and a new Discipline and Complaints officer, investigating the shooting of Alex, is breathing down everyone's necks. The team works on the kidnap of a young girl, and Gene is forced to put his career on the line to prevent her death.
