Golden Salamander (1950)

David Redfern is a British archaeologist sent to Tunis to recover artefacts. While romancing the lovely Anna, he runs afoul with a vicious group of gun runners, led by Serafis and assisted by the thuggish Rankl. Torn between minding his own business, completing his job, and the opportunity to overthrow the criminals who are terrorising the locals, Redfern takes on the near-impossible task of bringing the gun runners to justice.
