India is the fastest growing major economy in the world, outpacing China. Both the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank project that India's growth will remain robust, expanding at the rate of 7.5 this year and next. However, while the government is actively promoting investments in the country, there are concerns that the pace of reforms and infrastructural inefficiencies will still make India play catch-up with market realities.
