The defending champion in the women's singles usually opens play on Centre Court, but Ash Barty's shock retirement means that honour will fall to another player in 2022. Former junior champion Iga Swiatek has been in dominant form in Barty's absence, but there are plenty of other contenders in the mix in what promises to be a fascinating women's singles tournament.
