When the body of a woman is pulled from the River Thames after her car is found in suspicious circumstances, the victim's abusive ex-husband seems to be the prime suspect. The pair had been involved in a bitter custody battle over their teenage daughter Holly. Then the investigation takes a strange turn, as Ronnie and Sam discover that Holly was in fact infatuated with her mother's new husband.
