War of the Worlds (2005)

When merciless aliens attack the Earth, a dock worker fights to get his children to safety. As they find themselves being chased by 100-feet-high tripods through the streets of New York, the alien vessels start to open fire on the retreating crowd, incinerating everything that gets in the way.
