Judge John Deed

An explosion in a laboratory kills an eminent scientist, and an animal rights activist, Henry Free, is put on trial for his murder. Charlie Deed is appointed as lead defence barrister in the case and Jo Mills reluctantly assists the novice Charlie, whose enthusiasm for Henry's cause leads her into unprofessional outbursts in court.
