The unlikely story of Egypt's greatest and most eccentric explorer, Giovanni Belzoni. The 6ft 7in Italian had tried careers in England as an engineer and a circus showman before he finally became frustrated and travelled to Cairo. There, his unique talents got him a mission, to travel to an ancient temple and recover a beautiful seven tonne statue of Ramesses the Great for the British Museum.
