Custer of the West (1968)

Big-screen biography of American Civil War General George Armstrong Custer of the Seventh Cavalry, a maverick who met his end at Little Bighorn. After successes in the Civil War, Custer rose through the ranks and became noted as much for his bombastic cruelty as for his heroism in conquests.
