The Man in the White Suit (1951)

An eccentric research scientist working a menial job in a textile factory invents a fabric that never gets dirty and never wears out. When the tycoons of the clothes industry discover his secret, they ruthlessly set out to destroy the formula and the scientist is forced to go on the run, wearing a suit made from the miracle yarn, with just about everyone in pursuit.
