High Noon (2000)

A remake of the classic western about a small-town marshal who risks his life and that of his new wife in order to confront a vengeful killer just released from prison. On his wedding day, celebrations are interrupted by the news that the gunman and three of his henchmen are due in town on the midday train. As the crisis approaches, the marshal sees the townspeople, who had given him their support, abandon him to his fate.
